Beretta 92 is an Italian semi-automatic pistol from the post-war and modern times. The first prototypes of this weapon were made in 1975, and serial production started in 1976 and is still ongoing. The gun is 21.7 cm long, 13.7 cm high and 3.9 cm wide. The initial velocity of the projectile fired from this weapon was up to 380 m / s, and the effective range of the shot does not exceed 50 meters. The presented pistol was developed in an Italian gunsmith works Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta SpA (since 1999 it is part of the so-called Holding Beretta). The presented weapon was developed on the basis of the successful Beretta Brigadier pistol. Initially, only minor changes to this pistol were intended, but in the end, an almost completely independent, completely new design was constructed. The pistol turned out to be a highly successful weapon with high accuracy, high reliability and reasonable production costs. This was one of the reasons why it was selected as the US Army's primary handgun under the designation M9 in 1985. Of course, in the course of serial production, many variants of the Beretta 92 were created, including the 92F model, which was produced in the period 1985-1990, which most often uses a 15-round magazine. Compared to the previous versions, it has a new firing pin and a fully chrome-plated barrel.
