The GAM-63 Rascal was an American de facto prototype air-to-ground missile from the Cold War period. His flight test took place in 1952. The GAM-63 Rascal weighed about 8.2 tons, and its length was 9.74 meters. The drive was provided by a single Bell XLR-67-BA-1 engine with a thrust of 46.4 kN. It is assumed that its maximum range was approx. 160 kilometers.

The GAM-63 Rascal was developed by the company Bell Aircraft Corporation for the needs of the US Air Force. Work on the missile began at the end of World War II, and was the result of observations and tests carried out with captured German V1 missiles, and to a lesser extent V2 missiles. However, work on the missile took a long time and it entered service to a very limited extent in 1957, and its withdrawal from the line took place two years later! However, this does not change the fact that The GAM-63 Rascal was the first nuclear warhead missile used by the USAF, as well as the first stand-off missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead in the USAF. The GAM-63 Rascal missile has been replaced in line by the AGM-28 Hound Dog with a much greater flight range.
