The Kawasaki Ki-48 is a Japanese twin-engine light bomber with a classic tail and metal structure from the World War II period. The allied name of this plane is Lily. The stimulus for the creation of the Ki-48 was the contact of the Japanese with Soviet SB-2 bombers. Design works began in 1937, and the prototype flight and mass production took place in 1939. The first production version was designated Ki-48-I. It was produced until 1944. In 1945, the Ki-48-II was also used as kamikaze aircraft.
