The Willift Eagle (original name: World Cliff) is a modern day cargo ship (influencer) that was built at the Imabari Zosen shipyard in Marugame, Japan, as a tanker. The launch of the vessel took place in 1981. The total length of the vessel is currently 199.3 m and a width of 42 m. The maximum speed is not more than 11 knots. The crew of this large vessel is only 45 people. The Willift Eagle was originally built as a tanker for Malta's Worldwide Shiping. In 2000, the Greek shipping company Eastern Mediteranean Maritime became the ship's operator. Of course, at that time, the ship performed typical tasks dedicated to tankers - it was responsible for the transport of crude oil. However, due to the decisive tightening of the requirements for the safety of shipping and docking of tankers in the European Union countries, the shipowner in 2005 decided to thoroughly rebuild the vessel - from a tanker to an influencer. The reconstruction was carried out at the Remontowa Shipyard in Gdańsk in the period from March to October 2006. As a result, the ship was shortened, its hull underwent profound changes, especially in the amidships, it received much more modern electronic equipment, new bow thrusters and many installations on the ship were modified.
