Jednoosobowy mysliwiec przechwytujacy. Samolot PZL P-24 powstał pod kierunkiem Wsiewołoda Jakimiuka i stanowił modyfikację myśliwca PZP P-11 przystosowaną do zabudowania silnika o mocy ok 1000 KM. Pierwszy prototyp z silnikiem Gnome - Rhone 14 Kds został oblatany między 24 a 25 maja 1933 r. przez Bolesława Orlińskiego. 28.06.1934 r. na drugim prototypie pil. Bolesław Orliński ustanowił światowy rekord predkosci dla samolotow mysliwskich z silnikiem gwiazdowym, osiagając predkość 414 km/h. W 1936 otrzymano pierwsze zamówienie z Turcji. Wkrotce P-24 zakupiły także Bułgaria, Grecja i Rumunia, która nabyła także licencje.W 1937 r. opracowano nową wersje P-24. Nowy samolot miał silnik GR 14N-07 o mocy 699kW (860 KM), zmianie uległa instalacja paliwowa i układ chłodzenia. Zastosowano nową osłonę silnika i opancerzono kabinę. Nowe samoloty jako pierwsza zakupiła Grecja w liczbie 25 szt. P-24F uzbrojone w 2 dzialka i 2 k.m. oraz 6 szt. P.24G uzbrojone w 4 k.m. Jednak w czasie użytkowania wszystkie samoloty przezbrojono w 4 k.m. Żaden P-24 nie został użyty bojowo w Polsce w 1939 r. Jedyny zachowany samolot P-24 znajduje się obecnie w tureckim muzeum lotnictwa.

Greece was the first to buy the new planes in the number of 25 P-24Fs, armed with 2 cannons and 2 km, and 6 P.24Gs, armed with 4 kms. Poland in 1939. The only surviving P-24 plane is now in the Turkish aviation museum. Technical data (version P.24G): length: 7.81 m, wingspan: 10.68 m, height: 2.7 m, maximum speed: 430 km / h, rate of climb: 11.1 m / s, maximum ceiling: 10,500 m, range maximum: 700km, weapons: fixed - 4 Colt-Browning machine guns, suspended - up to 40 kg of bombs.
