The Reggiane Re.2002 was an Italian WWII fighter aircraft with an all-metal low wing structure. The drive was provided by a single engine Piaggio P.XIX RC 45 Turbines with 1175 hp. The flight of the prototype took place in 1940, and serial production was carried out in the period 1942-1944. About 230 aircraft of this type were built in its course. The deck armament consisted of four BREDA-Safat machine guns: two 12.7 mm and two 7.7 mm. The machine could carry a load of bombs weighing up to 650 kilograms.
Re.2002 came about as a far-reaching development of another Reggiane aviation design. The changes mainly concerned the addition of completely new wings, strengthening the overall structure of the machine and the use of a new engine. The aerodynamics of the entire structure has also been improved. Re. 2002 turned out to be a successful design, with good performance, especially at low altitude. As a result, machines of this type were very often used as fighter-bombers. Reggiane Re.2002 planes were used mainly during the fighting in Sicily in the summer of 1943, as well as during the later stages of the campaign on the Apennine (1943-1945) by the Italian armed forces fighting the German occupier. Many aircraft of this type were also taken over by the Luftwaffe.
Reggiane Re.2005 Sagittario (Italian: archer) is an Italian, single-engine low wing fighter plane, with a full metal structure with a classic tail. The flight of the prototype took place on May 9, 1942, and serial production started in 1943. The prototype, bearing the designation MM494, used a Fiat RA engine as a drive. 1050 RC. 58 Tifone with 1475KM, which was the license version of the DB-605A. It achieved great results in test flights and became the basis for the serial version. However, the organizational paresis in Italian aviation, as well as problems with engine shutdowns, meant that serial production of this great aircraft did not start until May 1943! By the Italian capitulation, fewer than 40 machines were built with the original DB-605A engine in September 1943. Re.2005 took part in the fighting in Sicily and southern Italy, and later a small number of them were used by the Italian Social Republic. The Reggiane Re.2005 was undoubtedly a very successful design, with good performance, unfortunately it was made in too few numbers to make any difference to the scales of the war. Technical data: length: 8.73m, wingspan: 11m, height: 3.15m, maximum speed: 628km / h, climb speed: 20m / s, practical ceiling: 11500m, maximum range: 980km, armament: fixed - 2 rifles machine gun Breda-SAFAT cal.12.7mm, 3 cannons MG151 cal.20mm, suspended - up to 1100 kg load. The Reggiane Re.2000 Falco (Italian: Sokół) is an Italian single-engine sea fighter plane with a metal structure in the low wing configuration. The flight of the prototype took place on May 24, 1939, and serial production continued in 1939-1944. The machine was modeled on the American Republic P-35. The Italian aviation only ordered a series of 12 planes, therefore Caproni sold the planes to Sweden and Hungary. At the end of 1941, 24 more copies were made for Italy. Technical data (Re.2000 I): length: 7.99m, wingspan: 11m, height: 3.2m, maximum speed: 530km / h, practical ceiling: 11200m, maximum range: 950km, armament: fixed - 2 machine guns Breda-SAFAT cal. 12.7 mm, suspended - up to 200 kg of bombs.
