Le Zèbre Type A (also known as Le Zèbre) is a French passenger car from the beginning of the 20th century. Its first copies were produced in 1907. The cart was only 2.74 meters long and 1.2 meters wide. The drive was provided by a single 1-cylinder engine, and the maximum speed did not exceed 35-40 km / h. The Le Zèbre Typ A was the first car to be produced by the company of the same name (ie Le Zèbre), founded by Jules Salomon, but quickly joined by French rally driver Georges Richard. The model was offered as highly economical and competed with its competitors on the French automotive market that was emerging at that time, primarily in terms of price, although it was in no significant way inferior to performance or technical advancement. Interestingly, the customer buying Le Zèbre Typ A chose its color as well as the equipment itself. It was also common practice that only the chassis, engine and other mechanical components were sold to the customer, and another plant added the body.
