The RWD-25 was a project of a Polish mixed low-wing fighter with a fixed undercarriage from the interwar period and World War II. The drive was to be provided by a single Gnome Rhone 14 M05 Mars engine with a maximum power of 730 HP. There has never been a prototype test flight, and even less a mass production aircraft. It was assumed that the on-board armament would consist of 4 PWU FK wz. 36 caliber 7.92 mm.
The RWD-25 project was developed by Eng. Jerzy Drzewiecki, for the Aviation Experimental Workshops (DWL) in Warsaw. The new plane was to be a light interceptor designed for the air defense of Polish cities and industrial districts against bomb attacks. It was created as a competitive machine to the PZL P.45 and PWS-42. In the design of the RWD-25, the emphasis was primarily on the highest possible rate of climb, high maneuverability at the expense of the maximum speed, which was to oscillate around 450 km / h, so much less than, for example, the German Me-109 or the British Hurricane. Due to the outbreak of World War II, the flight test was not completed.
